Sometime we hear terms Pre-owned and second
hand in terms of mobile phone and most of them we think these terms are same
and indicate towards a used mobile phone. But it is not like that and both
Pre-owned mobile and second hand mobile phone are not same and have
distinct meaning.
Pre-Owned smart phones
are unboxed cell phones means a cell phone which is out of box but not
used by buyer. Sometime we place an online order to buy a Smartphone, where we
submit some specifications like color, model etc, but when the order is deliver
we found that the handset is not same what we have chosen on website and
sometime company deliver the different product from placed order. Sometime due
to mood swing, different choices of family members encourage to not use
delivered cell phone and buyer return it to company back. These types of unused
cell phones are known as Pre-owned smart phone which was pre- owned by
someone but not used by him/her.
Second hand mobile phone is
a used pre-owned handset. This is old handset which was unboxed and used
by its first user. Commonly we all are mobile user and have one more in our
hands. And most of us sale a used
handset either or direct or in exchange offer. Such mobile phones are called
second cell for its next buyer. When a user buy mobile and after
remove its packaging if used the cell phone for a while it will treated as
used, whether he uses it for one day, hour, month or year it doesn’t matter and
when he sale it again it will be second hand handset for its new buyer.
Used pre-owned handset
may or may not have warranty. Because it is used mobile phone and if the first
user used it for good time period and sale it after its warranty end then
second hand user will not get same warranty to get repair the fault or break -
down from mobile company but Pre-owned mobile phones are unused handsets and
send or return back to company immediately or within a specific time period, so
such unused handsets do have warranty and that is same as is on new cell phone.
Second hand mobile phone
can be damaged or repaired once or more but unused cellular devices are the
fresh pieces with warranty and re sale-able by company or various E-commerce
websites on internet.
Both handsets are cheaper in price than a
new cell phone but both do not have equal same price. A used second hand smart
phone has lesser sales price than a new phone and then pre – owned as well and
in comparison to both new and unused device, used second hand set have less
buyer volume.
A used mobile phone is never be accepted by its
seller company and user have to buy it physically or through online or get it
exchanged in a exchanged offer online but seller company can accept unused cell
phone because its only packaging was removed but phone left unused. Such devices
have almost similar or little lesser bit price than new one of same handset.
When you go to buy a handset other than new
it is important knows about these terms because both look similar to hear but
on basis usability both are different. Now various E-commerce websites are
involve in sale of handset of different companies. Similar to physical mobile
shop you can find Samsung, iPhone, Nokia and various online shopping websites,
where you see two or more handset of same model and same company but with
different price, these handset may be pre – owned or second hand cell phones.
So you have to take extra care while shopping for cell phone and you must be
aware about warranty over the product and get it clear that what type of
warranty does device have and for how long it is?
